TVOne Vietnam successfully held the seminar: “Solutions for feed cost reduction” at Fortuna Hotel Hanoi on June 18th, 2022.
Attending the seminar were Professor In Ho Kim from Dankook University, Ms. Kate M.Cornista, a Nutritionist from Patent Co together with the representatives from feed mills across the country and media agencies
The program introduces the methods of reducing costs in animal feed formulations that are being applied effectively in Korea - a developed country with many achievements in the field. After that, database of raw material optimization was shared at the program by a Nutritionist from Europe.
In the first sharing, Prof. Dr. In Ho Kim (Dankook University, Korea) presented about methods and experiences in cutting the cost of animal feed production.
Prof. Dr. In Ho Kim, Dankook University Korea
From the research and evaluation, prof. Kim believes that the selection of raw materials is an extremely important step that directly affects the cost issue. In fact, on the market, there are quite a few materials that can be used instead, for example: dried soybeans, spray dried animal plasma, spray dried blood meal, fish meal, wheat gluten, corn, barley and other meat by-products, etc
Prof. Kim stated: “Alternative feed ingredients tend to be less consistent in composition and have larger standard deviations than plant-based carbohydrate and protein sources. However, if a dietitian can find a consistent, high-quality ingredient from a given supplier, a more liberal inclusion rate in a formula can be used with a degree of confidence. higher confidence".
In addition, in order to optimize costs, feed manufacturers also need to pay attention to the source of protein and carbohydrates for pigs, low CP diet and its impact on non-essential amino acids, and feed additives (enzymes). valid matrix/whey protein substitute).
In particular, Prof. Kim shared emphasis on a special solution that can help optimize costs and bring maximum efficiency, which is the use of solutions to increase productivity from plant extracts (ginseng, hibiscus, artichoke etc.) The trio of productivity-enhancing products for pigs and chickens: Garpil, Ramil GP and Pigred Plus with the main ingredients being ginseng, hibiscus, artiso have made a difference and brought execellent effect on the animals.
- RAMIL GP: increases protein absorption and metabolism, restricts amino acid depletion, thereby improving the function of energy and protein metabolism, creating uniform muscles, reducing back fat and helping red meat. Ramil GP brings more beautiful and fresher meat thanks to the process of anti-oxidation and against PSE ,
- PIGRED PLUS Contains ginseng, hibicus, beetroo to make pink skin, smooth hair, beautiful natural red meat. Pigred plus also limits oxidation, stress in pigs thereby avoiding PSE and improves the quality of pork.
- GARPIL is the solution to naturally increase productivity and quality of breast meat in poultry by the blends of plant extracts such as: Ginsenosides, artichoke extract combined with creatine precursors, amino acids and peptide chelate minerals. Garpil promotes better figure and immune system and fragrant smell of meat
In the second presentation, Ms. Kate Cornista, nutritionist from Patent.Co shared the solutions to optimize the database of raw materials to reduce the cost for the feed formula.
Ms. Kate M. Cornista – Nutritionist from Patent Co
Firstly, Mrs. Kate stated that the production of animal feed can use available raw materials such as protein-rich raw materials, milling by-products, grinding by-products and available alternative raw materials ( corn derivatives, bread by-products, spaghetti crumbs, etc.).
The second solution, according to Mrs. Kate, is that feed formulations need to meet nutritional requirements. Specifically, from the raw material database, it is necessary to develop recipes for each type of feed for each breed of animal; perform periodic raw material analysis; and periodically analyze the mycotoxin content...
Finally, she concluded with emphasis on the solution from feed additives. Specifically, it is necessary to use digestive aids, use fat absorption aids (emulsifiers) and use preventive controls (effective mycotoxins binders).
The program ended with a lively Q&A session with many questions from the guests about the mechanism and composition of ginseng as well as questions about solutions related issues. from herbal feed additives.
At the end of the program, the representative of TVOne Vietnam - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan gave flowers to thank the speakers.
TVOne Vietnam would like to sincerely thank the speakers, professional advisory boards, representatives of feed mills across the country and media agencies who attended the Seminar "Solutions to for Feed Cost Reduction”
We hope that the sharing and experiences presented in the Program will help the community to have more useful information so that they can apply methods to help optimize costs during the difficult period in terms of raw materials. Besides, it partly understands the aspirations that TVOne Vietnam is trying to fulfill for the development of the Agriculture industry in particular and Vietnam's economy in general, thereby spreading the value internationally.
