TVOne Joint Stock Company successfully organized the informational seminar "Breakthrough solution for plant-extracted feed additives production in Vietnam” on the afternoon of May 24, 2022, in Ha Long (Quang Ninh).
The delegates participating includes the heads of the Department of Livestock Production: Mr. Duong Tat Thang – Director of Livestock Institute: Mr. Pham Doan Lan - Deputy director Livestock Institute; Vietnam Animal Feed Association, Vietnam Poultry Association; Agricultural Association Digital; Vietnam Academy of Agriculture; representatives of feed mills, domestic and foreign scientists as well as all employees of TVOne Vietnam.
The seminar introduced and shared about breakthroughs in the application of Bao ginseng, essential oils and plant extracts in the production of additives for livestock. At the same time, a set of products from plant extracts combined with essential oils to increase productivity and replace antibiotics were also introduced to the audience.

The reason is that there are an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases in worldwide In Vietnam, we have nearly 200,000 new cases and more than 120,000 deaths from cancer in 2020
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuong, in 2021, Vietnam must import nearly 700.000 tons of supplementary feed, with a value of more than 1 billion USD. we do not have production technology to produce vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and additives. Therefore we currently rely heavily on China, India, Europe and America.

According to Mr. Duong Tat Thang, Director of the Department of Livestock Production, our country currently has about 225 production facilities for dietary supplements (additives). Although the proportion of supplementary feed is not large in industrial feed, it plays a role in quality. 2022 comes with many uncertainties of the war situation in Ukraine, the prices of animal feed ingredients such as wheat, corn, soybeans, etc. have skyrocketed. Therefore, it is urgent to research new products to increase livestock productivity, increase competitiveness, and reduce dependence on external raw materials to ensure food safety and develop livestock for international integration. .
Mr. Duong Tat Thang also added that the Law on Animal Husbandry stipulates that until December 31, 2025 the use of antibiotics is completely banned for disease prevention. Before that, the use of growth-stimulating antibiotics was banned. As the result, the study of antibiotic alternatives in livestock has an critical role.

Next, Prof. Dr. In Ho Ki, Dankook University, South Korea ran the first presentation about "Analyzing the potential effects of Bao ginseng in the production of feed additives". He claimed that “Ginseng is not only good for humans but also good for animals.” Prof. Kim and his colleagues' experiments showed that the cholesterol and triglycerides content in serum of layers chickens deceased in the group have ginseng supplementations. Egg yield increased at 27 weeks (resulting from ginseng's immunostimulating, hepatoprotective and antioxidant activities). Using ginseng with a dose of 0.1% ginseng can improve the performance of broiler chickens.
The addition of ginseng to the pig feed showed a significant improvement of feed digestibility, with less nutrients required for growth but significantly improved meat quality, reducing drip loss and increased longissimus muscle area.
